Strategies to reduce the waste of food

Throwing away food has always been badly looked upon, and given the current economic situation, is could be considered wasteful, selfish, and not consistent with an idea of solidarity.  It is for this reason we should do away with such practice in our society, in our city. In the same way, the world tendency to optimize the use of valuable resource of which food can be included.  The European Commission is centering its efforts the betterment of environmental sustainability in the food chain through the minimization of wasting food and optimizing the storage of foods.
