All over the world there are more and more problems related to malnutrition, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, obesity and chronic diseases related to diet.
To be well nourished, people must be able to access a suffi-cient quantity of safe and quality food (food security), but it is not only access to food that solves the problem of global mal-nutrition. To improve the nutritional status of people it is strictly necessary to educate and train the population in healthy diets. The population should know what a healthy di-et is and how acceptable food options should be chosen.
At Nutrition Without Borders we understand nutritional edu-cation as a fundamental tool for building healthy eating and living habits. Food education is a prerequisite for achieving effective and sustainable changes over time.
